Just thought our Arizona friends would enjoy this. This is a yard stick by our front door. I keep pulling it out of the snow and putting it on top again after we get a lot of snow. Right now it is buried. I can see the top of the snowman's hat. Time to dig it out! If you click on the picture you can read it a little better.

Ok, so I know it's been a month since I posted pictures. I thought I should let everyone see just how much snow we have been getting. With a metal roof, it just slides off onto the side of the house. The grandkids pull tubes up the hill and slide down and across the driveway. Where the kids are is covering the kitchen windows. The window up above them is actually the bedroom window on the second story. So......we just take advantage of it and have fun.

I promise I will get over to the house and get more pictures to post. Clyde has worked hard getting logs up inside in the great room and the fireplace is set. We start rocking the fireplace probably next week and the sheet rocking starts, also. Pretty much all of the insulation is in. Now the slower projects start. But I will get some pictures going again. In the meantime, enjoy what I have posted today. :-) Love to you all!

Now this is one good looking couple, don't you think? :-) It is the annual McCall Winter Carnival and we are having a great time. This is at the parade. McCall has a lot of activities during the Carnival. Since Clyde is on the Board of Directors for the Chamber, he is usually pretty involved in the planning. This year he was too busy with the house so we just enjoyed the events. It snowed and snowed so we took advantage of it by sledding and tubing with the grandkids. We love it! Right now we live so close to town that we just walk to the parades or take the four wheeler and just drop people off. Everyone ought to come up and play with us at least once for the carnival. Next year we will live farther away but will have plenty of space for people to stay with us.

Even Brett got a ton of beads from the parade. It doesn't look like it, but he really did have a good time.

This is a picture of the family at the Winter Carnival parade in downtown McCall. It is always a "mardi graw" theme. The people in the parade throw beads and candy. It's a real silly spoof on Mari Graw but so fun. The night before we had the children's light parade where all of the kids wear glow sticks and have hot chocolate and cookies, then walk the downtown streets with their parents (AND grandparents). Some are pulled on sleds or tubes or wagons, as you can tell from the previous pictures of Amy and Dana's families.

These are just a few of the snow sculptures this year. The theme is the Wild, Wild, West. Too bad you can't see more detail. But it is snowing so much that they are now being covered with snow. Maybe you can get an idea of what they are.
